Java Full Stack Engineer (Remote)

As a Java Full Stack Engineer at LegalMatch, you will play a key role in delivering impactful features and driving meaningful improvements across team projects. You’ll tackle medium-complexity challenges with confidence, demonstrating expertise in frontend, backend, and DevOps while adhering to coding best practices. Additionally, you’ll mentor junior developers, offering guidance and support to help them grow and succeed.

Your responsibilities include:

• Contributing to team projects, delivering features with a moderate organizational impact.
• Solving medium complexity technical problems independently and complex challenges with guidance.
• Working proficiently across full-stack development (frontend, backend, DevOps).
• Adhering to team's established coding standards.
• Adapting to and gaining expertise in new technical stacks under senior guidance.
• Communicating and collaborating with team members, scrum masters, and project owners.
• Applying methodologies and tools in a disciplined manner throughout the development process.
• Working independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and contribute to project success.

• Experience: At least 5 years in software development, covering frontend, backend, and optionally DevOps, with proficiency in Java and frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot.

• Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of Java, with experience in additional languages like C++, C#, Python, or JavaScript. Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design, functional programming principles, and scripting.
• Frontend & Legacy Systems: Familiarity with JavaScript and frameworks like React, and a willingness to maintain and improve legacy systems, including Struts.
• Software Practices & Tools: Knowledge of CI/CD principles, Docker, version control systems like Git, and quality practices such as unit testing or Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Databases & Cloud: Understanding of SQL and NoSQL systems, with some familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
• Agile Practices: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Additional Expectations: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, adapt to changing priorities, and stay updated on technology trends.
