The Division: 
Petrosys has been providing geotechnical and data management software and solutions for the oil and gas exploration sector for 40 years and is a recognised leader in the provision of mapping, surface modelling and data management software solutions.
With a Head Office in Australia and regional offices in Kuala Lumpur, Europe and North America, our global client base represents the "Who's Who" of the industry. Today our software is a critical part of exploration and production workflows at more than 300 sites worldwide. 

The Role:
Petrosys are seeking Senior Software Developers (Java) to join our teams on a permanent basis to work on the analysis, design, and development of the technical geoscience products ‘dbMap/Web’ and ‘Interica OneView’. We prefer full stack developers, however we are willing to take on back-end focused developers with basic JavaScript experience who wish to expand their skills into the full stack.

The chosen individuals will work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

The applications we are hiring for:
Interica OneView - This application is designed to extract metadata from multiple Oil & Gas industry data sources and provide a web interface to analyse, visualize and archive/restore.  https://www.petrosys.com.au/products/interica-oneview/

dbMap/Web - This application is designed to manage, visualise, and analyse the large complex data sets used by the resources sector. This application is data management heavy and leverages the standard PPDM database. https://www.petrosys.com.au/products-services/data-management/

The development teams for both products collaborate as needed.

Qualification: 

•    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or a certificate from a technical training institute.
•    At least 5 years’ experience as a software developer with the majority coding in Java
•    Experience with analyzing and coding web applications with large volumes and/or complexity of data.
•    Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts
•    Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns
•    Ability to write clean, readable Java code
•    Skilled at creating database schemas, write and finetune complex SQL queries
•    In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git

•    Should have basic JavaScript knowledge
•    Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc
