In this role, you'll be responsible for the below:
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced software supporting the work of translators (primarily connectors between XTM and external systems)
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the codebase
- Write unit tests and integration tests to validate the functionality
- Collaborate within a SCRUM team managed by Engineer Manager & PO
- Document codebase, APIs, and integration processes for future reference
- Communicate effectively within SCRUM team to discuss requirements, share progress, and resolve issues
- Collaborate with DevOps, Customer Support and other cross-functional teams
- Provide support to existing and prospective customers of XTM
Requirements
Experience:
- Degree in Information Technology
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Java development
- Experience with developing enterprise-level applications or integrations
- Previous experience working with CMS systems and/or translation management systems is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Java programming language and Spring Framework
- Hibernate, JDBC - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Proficiency in RESTful APIs and web services development
- Experience with SOAP - Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data manipulation
- Experience with PostgreSQL is a must
- Experience with MongoDB is nice to have - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of XML
General Skills:
- English skills to be able to read technical documentation and communicate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality code
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Agile or Scrum methodologies are preferred
Nice to have:
- Experience with WebSockets
- Experience with Javascript/Typescript & React
- Experience with Docker & CI/CD tools
