We're looking for a motivated Java Developer eager to grow their software engineering skills. Ideal candidates bring foundational Java knowledge along with curiosity about microservices, AWS, and QA practices. You'll get hands-on mentorship while working on real projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, test, and maintain Java code under the guidance of senior developers
- Learn and support development of microservice-based applications
- Assist in deploying and monitoring services using AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda etc.)
- Participate in writing/executing test cases (unit, integration) to ensure code quality
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Document technical processes and continuously improve skills through training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical knowledge)
- Basic proficiency in Java (OOP concepts, Spring Boot a plus)
- Understanding or genuine interest in microservices architecture
- Interest in or basic exposure to QA/testing methodologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Nice to have:
- Personal/academic projects involving Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Messaging Services.
- Exposure to Git or BitBucket.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
- AWS Certifications.
- Collaboration with QA to understand testing strategies and bug tracking
- Familiarity with or interest in AWS cloud services
- Github workflow deployment
- Splunk monitoring.
