The Role

We're seeking someone to join our Finance Technology team as a Java developer to build modern, scalable solutions that automate complex valuation workflows and directly empower the business with faster, more accurate, and data-driven decision-making.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities.

This is a Java Developer role, which is part of the job family responsible for innovative solutions for regulatory and financial reporting, general ledger, profit & loss calculations, securities bookkeeping, budgeting & forecasting, and tax filing.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Design, development, and delivery of scalable, enterprise-grade reporting and analytics solutions using mainly Java

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, evaluate tools, and deliver innovative solutions aligned with business goals.

  • Drive/contribute to the adoption of GenAI, Copilot, and AI-driven development practices to enhance automation, reporting, and developer productivity.

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, communicate project status, and proactively address risks and challenges.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and champion their adoption where relevant

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices in SDLC, code reviews, and automated testing.

  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain applications for performance, reliability, and security.

  • Promote agile methodologies, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Experience in software engineering, with a strong background in Java back-end development (Angular or any additional languages or frameworks are a plus).

  • Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and modern SDLC practices.

  • Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-level applications, preferably in cloud environments.

  • Experience in SQL databases.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging GenAI, Copilot, or AI/ML tools for software development, automation, or reporting.

  • Prior exposure to finance, investment banking, or related domains is an advantage.

  • Experience with cloud platforms, data engineering, or reporting solutions is a plus.
