We are seeking a talented and experienced Java Engineering Manager to join our team at Huawei Technologies. As the Java Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of skilled Java developers in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional products that meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of Java developers: This includes hiring, training, mentoring, and providing feedback to team members.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
· Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their applicability to our business and technical goals.
· Developing and implementing software solutions: The Java Engineering Manager is responsible for designing and developing software applications using mainly Java technologies.
- Collaborating with other teams such as product management, QA, and operations, to ensure that the software meets the business requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions
· Maintaining a positive team culture: The Java Engineering Manager is responsible for maintaining a positive team culture and ensuring that team members are motivated and engaged.
Technical Qualifications:
· Candidate must have BSc degree in Computer Engineering or relevant field
· Graduated engineering departments (industry, electrical electronics, electronics and communications, computers, telecommunications, computer science)
· At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience in Java, Java EE
· At least 3 -year experience in Spring Framework (such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Core)
· Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, code check tools, source control management, continuous delivery, testing and operations
· Comprehensive knowledge of web-based applications and REST services experience with Spring Framework experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
· Knowledge on OOP, Design Patterns, Test Driven Development and Unit Testing
· Good command of English is required.
· Experience with Micro Service Architecture is a plus.
· Experience with using RDBMS and NOSQL is plus.
· Experience with ORM (JPA/Hibernate) or persistence framework (like Mybatis) is a plus.
· Experience in Full stack development experience is a plus.
· Experience in DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
· Leading or managing a team is mandatory.
· Team Player; joining team’s tasks proactively and taking initiative to support and guiding other members.
· Agile oriented; focused on delivery and customer first.
