We’re looking to expand our Betting Entertainment Tools team in Ljubljana. You’ll be joining a dedicated and closely connected team that specializes in market leading betting solutions integrated, by more than 400 clients and reaching hundreds of millions of sport fans and punters globally.
As a Java Backend Developer, you’ll work closely with product owners, QA engineers, and development teams to design, implement, and optimize backend services. Your primary focus will be ensuring high-quality, scalable, and robust solutions, with a strong emphasis on QA automation and test-driven development.
We believe in building reliable and well-tested systems. You’ll play a key role in integrating automated testing into our backend services, improving test coverage, and ensuring smooth deployments. If you have a passion for clean code, performance optimization, and automation, this role is for you.
THE CHALLENGE
- Develop and maintain backend services in Java, ensuring high performance and scalability.
- Design and implement automated testing strategies, covering unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Work closely with QA engineers to enhance test automation frameworks and ensure continuous validation of services.
- Improve system reliability, monitoring, and fault tolerance by implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize backend services for efficiency.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, and static analysis tools.
- Stay updated with the latest Java backend technologies and testing methodologies.
YOUR PROFILE
- At least 2 years experience with Java development.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and other modern Java frameworks.
- Solid understanding of automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and API testing.
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Mockito, or similar.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
- Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
- Passion for QA automation and ensuring high system reliability.
