We currently have a vacancy for a Java Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either on the company’s premises or on site at the customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated into the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Tasks:
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems;
- Data analysis and data modelling;
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers;
- Production of software architecture documents;
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users;
- Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
Requirements
- University degree combined with a minimum of 11 years of relevant working experience in IT;
- Hands on experience with Java;
- Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns;
- Good knowledge of applications design;
- Good knowledge of modelling tools;
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
- Good knowledge of Relational DBMS;
- Good knowledge of business process analysis;
- Knowledge of writing use cases, understanding technical architecture, hands-on coding, database scripting, and documentation writing;
- Knowledge of interoperability technology such as web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture;
- Excellent command of the English language.
