Meet our Team

Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.

What you’ll be doing

The Japanese Speaking Software Engineer will participate in real system modernization projects, learn development processes and quality standards directly from the onsite team, and later transfer this knowledge to the offshore development team:

• System Development & Migration

• Technical Collaboration

• Cloud & Modern Architecture

What you bring to the team

• Bachelor’s degree with a major in software development, information technology or related fields.

• Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 level or higher.

• Strong communication skills in English or Vietnamese for collaboration with offshore teams.

• Have at least 5 years of C or C++ development experience, system design and implementation.

• Solid understanding of Software Development Processes and Object-Oriented Programming, and quality processes.

• Prior experience working onsite in Japan or with Japanese enterprise clients.

• Knowledge of Architecture / Modernization: Cloud platforms, Microservices architecture, Container technologies.

• Onsite working in Hitachi-shi, Ibaraki, Japan is required.
