The team
Hitachi Digital Services Japan, which is the HDS’s Japan country office, is strengthening its offshore engineering services leveraging development centers in Vietnam and India, building a global delivery structure that combines high quality and cost competitiveness.
The role
The Japanese Speaking Project Manager should be adaptable to navigating complex project requirements and be prepared for occasional travel to Japan for client and stakeholder meetings. Main responsibilities include coordinating with cross-functional teams, overseeing project milestones, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
What you’ll bring
- B.S., M.S. or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
relevant major. - At least 5 years of managing software development projects with Japanese clients.
- Possess excellent communication skills in Japanese, with a minimum of N2 level proficiency.
- Strong experience in applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies is mandatory.
- Willingness to learn and understand the Energy domain.
- Open to working in Tokyo and other major cities in Japan.
- Strong English communication skills are preferred.
- PMP Certificate is a plus.
