About your team
· Fund Accounting and Control Japan is required to perform correct and punctual accounting/reporting for all FIJ Investment Trust funds and required to produce high standard services to external and internal clients.
· We have also Dalian capabilities, where Fund Accounting, Cash and Reconciliation service, Trade Management Service, Corporate Actions, Client Service and Reporting, Publishing, Performance Attribution, Service Implementation are operated to support Japan business.
About your role
· Calculate accurate NAVs and net asset values, and reconcile with trust banks. Publish on time (before 7:00 pm) with oversight of Fund Accounting Shared Serviices in Dalian
· Promptly resolve and take actions on any issues arising from daily NAV calculation and reporting
· Handle back office administrative work for distributors
· Support fund setup/closure/repurpose
· Lead facilitating fund audits and reviews; and maintaining relationship with the fund auditor.
· Participation as a business analyst in global Initiatives and key projects within FA
· Regulatory Correspondence: Analyse operational impact and necessary process change to adhere to regulatory change
· Technical contact with vendors to conduct periodic service reviews
· Support BCP planning, documentation and maintenance
· Participate in regular Disaster Recovery testing and fund suspension drills.
· Support the Head of Fund Accounting Japan to ensure sustainable operations
· Deputy liaison to the business to provide consultation on fund accounting and industry practices
· Lead system and process enhancement through RPA, BPM and Technology initiatives with both internal and external service providers
About you
· Extensive knowledge and experience of the Japanese investment trust accounting, financial reporting and relevant regulations
· Around 5-6 years of experience in working either at Trust Bank or Asset Management firm for Japanese Investment Trust Fund Accounting
· Fluent Japanese communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
· Advanced/Business English communication skills both verbal and written forms.
· Experience working in a global/regional team
