Job Description SummaryThe Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and supervision of custodial staff assigned to specific shifts and facilities. This position ensures all cleaning, event support, and building services are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, customer expectations, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Supervisor serves as a key liaison between employees, management, and customers to ensure quality service delivery and operational excellence.Job DescriptionWork Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 2:00PM - 10:30PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the work performance of janitorial staff within assigned buildings and shifts.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal laws.
  • Assist in managing the daily operations and overall activities of assigned projects and service contracts.
  • Ensure all janitorial services are performed according to contract specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and oversee cleaning schedules, work assignments, and staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Establish, communicate, and maintain performance expectations and productivity standards.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance inspections to ensure service excellence and compliance with company standards.
  • Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials; ensure proper use, storage, and accountability of all company assets.
  • Maintain building security measures including key control procedures.
  • Identify, address, and resolve service delivery issues, customer concerns, and operational challenges in a timely manner.
  • Participate in management development programs, technical training, safety initiatives, and site safety committee activities.
  • Maintain positive and effective customer relationships through regular communication and responsiveness to service needs.
  • Coordinate conference room setups, furniture arrangements, internal office moves, and special facility requests.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise event setup and breakdown activities, including arranging tables, chairs, staging, equipment, and room configurations according to event specifications.
  • Ensure event spaces are properly prepared before events and restored to standard conditions afterward.
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience in custodial, janitorial, facilities, or related services.
  • Knowledge of current cleaning methods, equipment, products, and safety procedures.
  • Experience coordinating event setups, room configurations, and facility support services preferred.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform custodial-related tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow removal operations.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $22.10 - $26.00
