Waste Connections is hiring for an Equipment Operator at our facility in Nashville, TN!

As an Equipment Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Loading, moving, grading, and stockpiling materials as directed by management.
  • Maintaining safe operating conditions while working around employees, customers, and other equipment.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
  • Following all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.

What We Need From You:

  • Minimum of one year of experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
  • Experience operating loaders, excavators, skid steers, compactors, or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures and operating instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
