The Finance Operations role at Smith & Nephew focuses on delivering efficient and compliant invoice processing from the GBS center. Aligned with internal controls and global standards (MAPs, SOX, and Group Finance Manual), the role supports service excellence by meeting SLAs and KPIs. Reporting to the ITP Team Manager, the role emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and strong stakeholder relationships, while promoting S&N’s Winning Behaviours and making it a great place to work.
 

What will you be doing?

• The role involves end-to-end support in the Invoice to Pay (I2P) process, including invoice processing, payment proposals, reconciliations, and resolving vendor issues. It ensures accurate and timely supplier payments, compliance with finance controls (MAPs, RACM), and supports month-end closing and reporting activities.

• This position emphasizes delivering consistent, professional service to stakeholders while supporting continuous process improvement, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of new team members. The role also contributes to system updates, SOP maintenance, and drives compliance through effective issue logging and audit readiness.
   

What will you need to be successful?

• This role is ideal for candidates with a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and at least JLPT N2 certification. The ability to read, write, and speak Japanese proficiently is critical, along with strong English communication skills. Experience in Accounts Payable or Procure to Pay and working knowledge of SAP and Excel are advantageous.

• Seeking a Japanese-speaking professional (minimum JLPT N2) to support finance operations in a shared services environment. Fresh graduates or those with 1–2 years of BPO experience are welcome. The role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office and invoice processing tasks.
