Position Title: Item Master Analyst

Position Overview

This role is responsible for maintaining item master, establishing product setups and ensuring data integrity in the ERP systems. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain item master in the ERP system and ensures data integrity and accuracy
  • Coordinate clean-up of current master data historical issues through conflicting parameter checks
  • Develop and implement standard work processes to keep master data clean and accurate
  • Maintain metrics and daily work systems to assure quality of data, and completeness of data
  • Create and implement a data sign off process assuring any and all changes to master data are vetted and approved at proper levels that allow controls and quality checks
  • Review the item master creation process to identify opportunities for improvements in terms of quality, delivery and total cost
  • Identify opportunities to standardize data and find solutions that enable optimization of ERP system functionality to achieve data integrity, increase efficiency and expanded reporting capabilities 

  • Develop and implement NPI product information procedure to be completed prior to product launches
  • Devise and implement new procedure for tracking product life cycle from NPI to obsolescence 
  • Create new items for raw materials, packaging, intermediates and finished goods in the ERP system 
  • Maintain and update product information, routings and BOMs in the ERP system(s)
  • Partner with operational team members to reclassify inventory to appropriate status as product moves through life cycle from active to discontinued and obsolete
  • Learn and become “Super-User” in ERP systems and facilitate the development of members in learning and utilization of ERP
  • Ensure all processes comply with ISO9001 or other regulatory agencies while promoting a quality mindset in employees
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics or related field preferred
  • Three years relevant experience in data management and analysis or related fields Technical Requirements
  • SAP experience required and JDE experienced preferred (primarily working in SAP)
  • Experience working with high volume, detailed data in a high accuracy environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Cross functional work experience (Product Management, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement)
  • Understanding of routings and bill of materials and material flow is desired
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired (knowledge of process from raw material to finished good)
