Position Description
Finance team is looking for a hardworking, positive person to work with our retailer network and internal customers. The senior accountant will perform general accounting activities, including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements as well as the reconciliation and maintenance of accounts. In this role, the Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with company policy and GAAP. A successful Senior Accountant will be a high-level thinker, and a detail-oriented individual who is willing to perform various levels of work as we scale our business.
Position Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as requested by management.
- Maintain and reconcile the organization's balance sheet accounts on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies related to balance sheet.
- Ensure adequate level of internal controls over financial information.
- Oversee the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of company assets.
- Conduct regular asset audits and assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and file Multi tax returns
- Be able and or willing to support international business financials, tax and consolidation.
- Owner of proper expense coding and receipt collection per company and national policy
- Assist with yearend close while working closely with Finance Controller.
- Participate in the implementation of compliance recommendations.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in progressive accounting roles.
- Experience in mid to large ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; Accounting certification preferred but not required.
- Italian and English. Spanish as a plus.
