Responsibilities
- Develop and implement firmwide training programs and create supporting written and electronic materials.
- Deliver instructor-led, virtual, and recorded training clearly and effectively.
- Provide applications training via classroom, e-learning, and remote platforms.
- Schedule and execute well-organized, comprehensive training sessions.
- Identify evolving technology training needs and collaborate with management to design effective programs.
- Provide recommendations regarding training tools, initiatives, and long-term development strategies.
- Develop engaging learning experiences using multimedia tools, AI resources, and innovative instructional formats.
- Design, write, and maintain training documentation and reference materials in accordance with documentation standards.
- Create and develop e-learning modules, including scripting and storyboarding.
- Lead the implementation and administration of a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Develop and deliver orientation training on Windows, Microsoft Office, and other firm software.
- Manage and enhance the firm’s intranet, including content updates, user guides, and training sessions.
- Develop technology test plans and perform testing as needed.
- Evaluate and support implementation of emerging legal technologies, including AI-powered productivity tools.
- Assist with software rollouts and ERP platform implementation through training and documentation.
- Monitor trends in legal technology and training practices; collaborate with leadership and vendors to enhance initiatives.
- Provide firmwide technical support as needed, including application support and website/communication updates.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of software training experience in a similarly sized, multi-office law firm or legal services organization preferred.
- Classroom training experience required.
- Strong technical writing and instructional design skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in standard legal and business software platforms, including:
- Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Document management systems
- Legal macro and forms software
- PDF editing and redlining tools
- Metadata management tools
- Court e-filing processes (California experience preferred)
- ERP systems (experience preferred)
- AI-powered legal tools and productivity platforms (highly desirable)
- Familiarity with graphic design or content creation tools is a plus
- Exposure to VoIP phone systems is preferred
