Position Summary:
This role will enable Elanco’s IT strategy for the Brazil commercial affiliate and support the IT operations.
Reporting to the Brazil TechOps Manager, you will engage with local business teams ensuring the successful delivery of global and local IT solutions & services as well as coordinating with IT service providers to maintain stability.
Responsibilities:
TechOps IT is at the heart of the global IT organization ensuring the ‘rubber hits the road’ on Elanco’s growing digital investments positioned on modern IT architecture. The key responsibilities for this role will be related to Brazil affiliate commercial operations and are as follows:
- Represent all aspects of IT to local employees, building a strong brand for IT.
- Partner effectively with local business teams (Sales, Marketing) and Global IT to understand requirements, align technology with business strategy, and deliver integrated solutions that drive the adoption of global templates wherever possible.
- Coordinating local IT service provider resources ensuring they deliver reliable, quality IT services.
- Identify opportunities to drive value from existing IT solutions and lead the implementation of new technology-based projects to meet evolving business needs.
- Own the technology and business use of IT applications, ensuring continuous operation, systems remain in a validated state and manage lifecycles through releases and retirement.
- Ensure local compliance with data privacy requirements and drive the consistent adoption of global IT policies and standards within the Brazil affiliate.
- Execute on-demand specific IT TechOps activities such as monthly corporate telephony monitoring, quarterly IT assets disposal, in strict alignment with Elanco´s corporate policies and building schedules.
- Actively participate in the country’s operational agenda to enable site “essential wins”.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Scientific area.
- Minimum 3+years’ experience in the implementation and support of IT systems.
- Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills.
- Proven experience coordinating Information Systems and technical projects, with the ability to manage timelines, resources, and small-to-medium scale implementations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders and global teams.
- Strong self-management skills.
- Ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and influence appropriate courses of action.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Experience in the Animal Health industry, with a solid understanding of relevant processes and trends.
- Experience and understanding of Sales & Marketing, Commercial and Supply Business Processes.
- Experience in IT Digital Marketing projects and AI.
- Demonstrated ability to influence peers and business partners.
- Experience in Lead medium scale IT projects with minimal to moderate risks. Ensuring Compliant Application Lifecycle Management.
- Proven ability to proactively identify and resolve IT issues, managing incident escalations and providing supervisory backup for service restoration and coordination when required.
- Broad IT infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge or experience of ITIL processes.
