Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our IT Technical Help Desk position. The IT Technical Help Desk Technician is responsible for supporting the personal computer hardware and software operations, maintenance, customer support, and those tasks assigned by the Systems Administrator and/or Information Systems Manager. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide personal computer software and hardware support to all corporate and branch users
  • Setup and install new PC's, thin clients, peripherals, and related equipment
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain handheld devices in a wireless network environment
  • Software installation for Microsoft products and other applications as defined by Information Systems Manager
  • Maintain user accounts across multiple systems
  • Keep track of issues and resolution using trouble-ticket software
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent, college degree preferred - 4 year degree (related or nonrelated
    field) or Associates in computer related field, or 2 year certification
  • Associates in a computer related field or 2 year certification preferred
  • Experience or working knowledge of PC architecture and concepts, hardware installation and configuration, component installation and configuration, and peripheral installation and configuration
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computers and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the position
  • Able to work in a high pressure environment
  • Highly motivated
  • Good organizational skills
