Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Support Engineer with expertise in Java applications deployed on Kubernetes.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing application environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.

Familiarity with the Avaloq ecosystem is highly desirable and will be considered a strong asset.

Your key tasks

• Monitor, maintain, and support Java-based applications running on Kubernetes clusters
• Troubleshoot and resolve application performance issues, ensuring minimal downtime
• Collaborate with project managers and developers to implement best practices for deployment and system management
• Enhance system scalability, resilience, and performance through proactive measures
• Manage system alerts and incidents, providing timely resolutions and detailed reports
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to ensure application requirements are met
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT systems support or a similar role
• Proficiency in Java application support and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and related tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Strong understanding of containerization and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, OCI) and hybrid cloud environments
• Proficient with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Experience working in or supporting the Avaloq ecosystem (ACP, Community API, FixBridge)
• Knowledge of financial systems or FinTech environments
• Certification in Kubernetes (CKA or CKAD)
