The IT Systems Engineer should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. The position requires having the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design of secure and scalable cloud solutions for internal projects 
  • Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance and reliable operation of software, computer systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot system performance by reviewing log files and running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues 
  • Assist in provisioning, support, and maintenance of user workstations, user applications, and office infrastructure
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing of systems and infrastructure
  • Identify areas of improvement with new products, system design, or configurations to help Neostella operate more effectively
  • Monitor operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of system administration, network administration, AWS administration experience 
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields are a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of AWS products and system design
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking design 
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools 
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans 
  • Strong knowledge of information security best practices for enterprise environments and cloud systems
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required
