IT Systems Administrator | Europe | Czech Republic | Fully Remote

What we are looking for:

Here at Escape Velocity Entertainment, we are looking for a new member for our IT team. As an IT Systems Administrator you will perform daily tasks to make sure our development team can focus on developing. You will be responsible for onboarding new employees, offloading employees, keeping systems running, troubleshooting application issues, being a focal point for IT tickets, improving processes and much more.

What we will do together:

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support to our colleagues
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve tickets in ticketing system
• Monitor communication channels and respond to questions
• Managing MDM and endpoint deployments
• Propose and implement process improvements for day to day operations
• Manage all installed systems and infrastructure (monitoring,troubleshooting)
• Creating and maintaining knowledge base for end user
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Ideal candidate would be within commuting distance to Brno. It is important for this role that you have the flexibility to be onsite when required.

What you will bring:

Required

1. Technical skills

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Troubleshooting of common problems for end users
• Proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows and Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory or EntraID (User lifecycle management)
• Familiarity in the administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of end user software and hardware
• Basic experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Cloud)
• Basic experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box)
• Basic experience of core networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, subnetting, and diagnostics/troubleshooting tools

2. Soft skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to help people with their issues
• Being able to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical employees
• Communication with vendor
• Creating and maintaining documentation

Nice to have

• Work with version control system (Perforce, Git)
• Scripting
• Python, Powershell, Bash
• Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana) 
• Hands on experience with installing and configuring hardware
