The IT Systems and Network Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes Windows Server environments, Active Directory, network security through firewall management, and providing end-user support. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in server management, network configurations, and backup and recovery strategies, ensuring secure and efficient IT operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Windows Server and Active Directory Administration:
- Manage Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022), ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services to support organizational operations.
- Use Hyper-V for server virtualization, optimizing resources and enhancing scalability.
2. Firewall and Network Security:
- Design, install, configure, and maintain firewall devices and software to protect the organization’s network from unauthorized access.
- Create and manage firewall rules and policies to control network traffic and enhance security.
- Set up and manage VPN connections to enable secure remote access for employees and partners.
- Implement robust encryption and authentication protocols for secure VPN access.
3. Network Management:
- Design and configure LANs, WANs, and other network topologies to support organizational connectivity.
- Install and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) to ensure a stable and secure network.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for network devices, especially Cisco, HP, and Aruba products, resolving complex network issues.
- Configure VLANs, assign switch ports, and manage VLAN trunking to enhance network segmentation and performance.
4. Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies that align with organizational data protection needs.
- Configure and maintain backup software, hardware, and storage solutions to safeguard critical data.
- Define and manage backup schedules, retention policies, and data deduplication processes.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of backup and recovery procedures and configurations.
- Ensure familiarity with cloud backup solutions and integrate them where applicable.
5. User Support and Helpdesk:
- Act as the primary technical support contact for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) and associated drivers.
- Assist users with software installation, updates, troubleshooting, and license management.
- Support peripheral device configurations, including printers, scanners, monitors, Avaya IP Phones, and other hardware.
- Document and maintain records of support requests, resolutions, and inventory to ensure efficient support operations.
6. IT Infrastructure and Device Management:
- Administer and support IT infrastructure, including access control systems, wireless access points, CCTV, and IP telephony solutions.
- Manage devices such as Zktime, Aruba, Ubiquity, Hikvision, UNV, and Avaya IP Office, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Address and troubleshoot system and server-related issues both on-site and remotely.
- Ensure adherence to established IT processes and service standards for consistent service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Required Certification: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, SonicWall Network Security Administrator (SNSA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT systems and network administration, with strong skills in server and network management.

- Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
- Proficiency in network administration, including LAN, WAN, VLAN, and firewall configurations.
- Expertise in server virtualization, particularly with Hyper-V.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies and familiarity with cloud solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on user support.
- Strong documentation skills for backup and recovery processes, incident response, and technical support requests.
