Summary
The IT Systems Analyst will be responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and maintaining software, systems, applications, security, and network configurations. This individual will respond to escalated requests from help desk, troubleshoot, and provide technical support and guidance to users as well as assist in the completion of on-going IT projects. The IT Systems Analyst will aide in the support for system backups and recovery, install patches, updates, and upgrades. This position will perform on-call duties on a recurring basis as part of the operations team. They report directly to the Director of IT.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems
- Troubleshoot issues and outages as it pertains to systems availability for employees
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
- Improving skills according to industry demands and best practices
- Respond immediately to security or usability concerns and escalate situations as needed
- Occasional help desk coverage
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Work with Director of IT to complete projects and assignments
- Ensures all work is within HIPAA and 42CFR guidelines as it relates to systems deployment and upkeep
- Participate in on-call coverage rotation
- Work with established vendor to diagnose and resolve any issues as it relates to their product or contractual work to assist with internal issues
- Install and test computer-related equipment
- Sustaining network integrity

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience
- BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline preferred; high school diploma required
- At least 3 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure, or security analyst roles
- Experience administering server-side technology and networked computing systems
- Strong understanding of WAN/LAN topologies
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
- Project management organizational and planning skills
- Previous experience in help desk environments
- Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changing systems and technologies used within the organization
- Strong understanding of Microsoft server operating systems
- Extensive knowledge in group policy management
- Knowledge in Linux / Unix systems a plus
- Strong understanding of HIPAA requirements
- Firm understanding or practice in cloud computing and hosting

Travel Required
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation that meets CFS Driver Policy. Travel is required to provide services in different settings and to attend agency meetings, events, and trainings
