The IT Systems Administrator provides hands‑on support for all production technology services—manufacturing plants, networks, end‑user computing, and service management. This role sets provides direction to the IT System Administrators and provides Tier 2 Level Support to the Help Desk. This role drives continual improvement to maximize availability, performance, and reliability across the organization, but will provide direct support for operational locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia.   

This role will analyze requirements of complex technologies and technical challenges working with project stakeholders and third parties to devise effective solutions. This individual will partner with business stakeholders and the application team to develop strategies that support operational goals and objectives.

Additionally, the Sr. IT Systems Administrator should maintain a high level of customer service in line with the organization’s expectations. Working with a variety of business stakeholders and customers, this role will serve as a business partner supporting technology solutions. 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required. Bachelors Degree preferred or 3+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Three-year IT help desk or IT customer support.
  • Basic troubleshooting and software support skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship. 
  • Valid Drivers License and will to drive to multiple location in the northeast (PA, NJ, VA).
  • Prior ERP computer systems, or logistics and manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with a highly diverse environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, conflicting priorities with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and at times climb 2-5 flights of stairs.
  • Must be able to be in an on-call rotation with other team members to cover night and weekend issues as they arise. 
  • Schedule, manage, and perform tasks within the scope of accountability based on established priorities but within resource constraints.
  • Remain knowledgeable of evolving trends and standards within the computer industry. Make recommendations regarding standards and policy.
  • Open, direct communication with the IT Manager regarding ongoing and upcoming activities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of common Help Desk Applications and toolsets
  • Microsoft Server/Active Directory Experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving software and connectivity problems, including user access and software component configuration, within Hood Container.
  • Responsible for maintaining channels of communications with customers and vendors to facilitate the integration using EDI technologies.
  • Document projects and work in conjunction with our SOP team to write user instructions.
  • Understand and administer both functionally and philosophically the needs of the company through systems integration and support.
  • You will be the first contact for Amtech related helpdesk calls.
  • Assists in application implementations and assists in testing end user processes using defined guidelines.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns. 
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
  • Attend in-person meetings with management to discuss, analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and/or software issues.
  • Resolve technical issues related to network interruptions, and actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
  • Ability to work to corporate service level agreements.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, attention to details.

Skills Required
