Are you ready to play a vital role in supporting one of the world's most advanced maritime patrol aircraft programs? BDA is now seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the P-8A Poseidon team based at RAAF Base Edinburgh. In this role, you will manage and maintain a diverse range of complex IT systems that help keep our military customer mission ready.
Responsibilities:
As a Systems Administrator, you will:
  1. Install, configure and maintain servers, networks and other IT/OT infrastructure components.
  2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  3. Carry out patching and system hardening activities.
  4. Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
  5. Troubleshoot and diagnose software and hardware issues.
  6. Monitor backup and disaster recovery protocols.
  7. Document and track system configurations.

Experience/Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with:
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (Cisco, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of cyber security practices.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems.
  • Ability to obtain NV2.

Please note: this role includes shiftwork, so we encourage applications from candidates who are comfortable and available to work rotating or assigned shifts.
