Salary Range: $78,329 to $104,170
SPECIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Recognized post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft Server 2025, VMware vSphere.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Group policy, PowerShell, TCP/IP, File & Print Services, Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Files & Blobs storage, Azure Backup
- Experience working with HPE & Dell servers, Dell desktop & laptop hardware.
- Experience with Cisco 9500 & 9300 series switches, Cisco 9800 wireless LAN controllers and access points.
- Familiarity with FortiGate firewall is a plus.
- Able to manage upgrades and new product implementations.
- Relevant Microsoft and CCNA certifications are preferred.
- Orientation (division/Magna), WHMIS, AODA, Ethics and Compliance, ISRC, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 and/or Job Specific training as prescribed by QEMS (see matrixes)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The IT System Administrator role at Magna is to deploy, monitor, and support all IT systems, including network switches, servers, desktops, laptops, operating systems, software applications and MFPs.
- Assist in maintaining the support desk ticketing system to manage, prioritize and successfully close user tickets in a timely manner.
- Troubleshooting hardware & software issues for 450+ users
- Enforcing data security, endpoint OS security, datacenter security, and access procedures as per Magna IT security policy and customer security policies.
- Develop, test, and review disaster recovery plans in infrastructure and applications.
- Maintaining infrastructure including upgrades of firmware, software & hardware, monitoring systems and logs to detect any hardware or software issues.
- Ensure compliance with ITGC audit control standards and supporting internal and external audits as required.
- Responsible to carry out duties for Health, Safety, and Environment in accordance with the HS&E Agreement for Employees - Addendum
- Other assigned duties as required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- ONSITE office / manufacturing plant environment.
- Day shift with occasional on-call, off shift work as required
