Role Summary 

We are looking for an experienced IT System Administrator to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure and operations while also supporting DevOps, SecOps, cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, database platforms, and SaaS application deployments. 

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Windows/Linux administration, AWS, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, networking, endpoint security, access management, monitoring, backups, and troubleshooting. The candidate should also have working knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, cloud-native deployments, and supporting database and infrastructure services used by SaaS applications. 

Key Responsibilities 

IT Operations / System Administration 

  • Manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and user support activities. 

  • Administer Windows and Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring. 

  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, password resets, and periodic access reviews. 

  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and user licensing. 

  • Manage Active Directory / Entra ID users, groups, roles, MFA, and access policies. 

  • Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, system health, and performance. 

  • Handle incidents, service requests, problem management, and change management activities. 

  • Maintain asset inventory, configuration documentation, operational SOPs, and system records. 

  • Manage backups, restore validation, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening. 

AWS / Cloud Administration 

  • Manage AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Security Groups, Route 53, CloudWatch, Load Balancers, EBS, and related services. 

  • Support cloud infrastructure used by SaaS-based applications across DEV, QA, and Production environments. 

  • Monitor AWS infrastructure utilization, availability, performance, and cost. 

  • Implement IAM roles and policies based on least-privilege principles. 

  • Support infrastructure provisioning, scaling, backup, monitoring, and cost optimization. 

  • Troubleshoot networking, security, access, and application connectivity issues in AWS. 

  • Exposure to AWS EKS, RDS, CloudFront, WAF, Lambda, CloudTrail, and AWS Transfer services is preferred. 

Snowflake Administration / Support 

  • Provide operational support for Snowflake database environments used by SaaS applications. 

  • Manage Snowflake users, roles, warehouses, databases, schemas, and access privileges. 

  • Support RBAC, least-privilege access, service accounts, and programmatic connectivity. 

  • Assist application and engineering teams with Snowflake connectivity and access-related issues. 

  • Monitor warehouse usage, query performance, credit consumption, and cost optimization opportunities. 

  • Support database cloning, data access, environment segregation, and basic governance requirements. 

  • Troubleshoot authentication, network, role, warehouse, and connector-related issues. 

  • Knowledge of Snowflake Account Usage, security policies, MFA, network policies, and resource monitors is desirable. 

Databricks Administration / Support 

  • Provide operational support for Databricks workspaces used by SaaS applications and data-processing workloads. 

  • Manage workspace users, groups, service principals, access permissions, and Unity Catalog privileges. 

  • Support catalogs, schemas, external locations, storage credentials, compute resources, and SQL warehouses. 

  • Assist engineering and data teams with Databricks jobs, pipelines, clusters, and Serverless compute-related issues. 

  • Support migration and deployment of workloads across DEV, QA, and Production Databricks environments. 

  • Troubleshoot access, library installation, compute, storage, networking, and data-connectivity issues. 

  • Monitor Databricks compute utilization, job status, DBU consumption, and cost optimization opportunities. 

  • Working knowledge of Unity Catalog, Serverless compute, workflows, pipelines, notebooks, and service principals is preferred. 

SaaS Application & Cloud Deployment Support 

  • Support cloud infrastructure and deployment requirements for SaaS-based applications. 

  • Coordinate with Engineering, DevOps, Data Engineering, and application teams for application deployments and environment readiness. 

  • Support application connectivity to Snowflake, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Redis, APIs, object storage, and other backend services. 

  • Troubleshoot deployment, configuration, authentication, network, SSL/TLS, DNS, and database-connectivity issues. 

  • Support DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments while maintaining proper environment segregation and access controls. 

  • Assist with production releases, rollback activities, configuration changes, and post-deployment validation. 

  • Support highly available and scalable cloud deployments. 

Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management 

  • Manage Windows laptops and endpoints through Microsoft Intune. 

  • Configure device Enrollment, compliance policies, configuration profiles, application deployment, and security baselines. 

  • Manage BitLocker, endpoint protection, OS patching, and device compliance. 

  • Troubleshoot Intune Enrollment, synchronization, application deployment, and compliance issues. 

  • Support remote-device management, retirement, wipe, and asset lifecycle activities. 

DevOps Support 

  • Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment activities. 

  • Work with GitHub, GitLab, or similar source-control platforms. 

  • Support Docker containers and basic Kubernetes administration. 

  • Assist Engineering teams with deployment, environment, configuration, access, and infrastructure issues. 

  • Support Kubernetes workloads, deployments, pods, services, logs, and basic troubleshooting. 

  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is preferred. 

  • Exposure to Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Helm, or similar tools is desirable. 

SecOps / Information Security 

  • Support security controls across servers, endpoints, networks, cloud platforms, databases, and SaaS applications. 

  • Manage MFA, RBAC, privileged access, VPN, firewall rules, and access-control policies. 

  • Review security alerts, system logs, authentication failures, and suspicious activities. 

  • Support vulnerability assessments, penetration-testing remediation, patch compliance, and security hardening. 

  • Assist with incident response, investigation, credential rotation, and remediation activities. 

  • Support firewall, VPN, endpoint-security, email-security, and cloud-security platforms. 

  • Ensure adherence to least privilege, segregation of duties, and secure configuration practices. 

  • Familiarity with SIEM/log-management tools such as ELK, Splunk, or similar platforms is preferred. 

Compliance / Governance 

  • Support SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISMS, or similar audit and compliance activities. 

  • Maintain evidence related to access control, patching, backups, changes, security controls, and infrastructure configurations. 

  • Participate in periodic access reviews, vulnerability remediation, risk assessments, and policy implementation. 

  • Ensure IT operations are aligned with organizational security policies and industry best practices. 

  • Maintain SOPs, architecture diagrams, asset inventory, access matrices, and operational documentation. 

Technical Skills 

The candidate should have hands-on or working knowledge in most of the following areas: 

  • Windows Server and Linux administration

  • AWS EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch 

  • Snowflake administration and access management 

  • Databricks administration and Unity Catalog 

  • Databricks clusters, SQL warehouses, Serverless compute, jobs, and pipelines 

  • PostgreSQL / relational database fundamentals 

  • Docker 

  • Kubernetes 

  • GitHub / GitLab 

  • CI/CD concepts 

  • Terraform / Ansible – preferred

Required Qualifications 

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure, System Administration, Cloud Operations, or IT Operations. 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, networking, cloud, endpoints, databases, and applications. 

  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. 

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 administration. 

  • Working knowledge of Snowflake and Databricks administration or operational support. 

  • Experience supporting SaaS applications and cloud-based deployments. 

  • Good understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes concepts. 

  • Good understanding of IT security principles, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability management, and incident handling. 

  • Experience supporting Production, QA, and Development environments. 

  • Ability to independently manage incidents and coordinate with Engineering, DevOps, SecOps, and Data teams. 

  • Good communication and documentation skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • AWS certification such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator. 

  • Microsoft certification related to Intune, Microsoft 365, or Azure. 

  • Snowflake or Databricks certification is an advantage. 

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform. 

  • Experience working in SaaS or product-based organizations. 

  • Exposure to SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks. 

  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, firewall, and security-monitoring platforms. 

Role Objective: 

The primary objective of this role is to ensure secure, stable, and efficient day-to-day IT operations while supporting the organization’s SaaS applications, AWS infrastructure, Snowflake and Databricks platforms, cloud deployments, DevOps activities, endpoint management, security operations, and compliance requirements. 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 7-9 years of experience in system administration, preferably at a startup or SaaS company
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS/Linux environments
  • Experience administering cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls)
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and proactive, ownership-driven mindset
  • Excellent communication skills to support technical and non-technical teammates
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including occasional weekends/nights and on-call support
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation
  • Experience maintaining IT asset inventory, license/subscription management, backups and disaster recovery
