As an IT Administrator you will configure, install, maintain, upgrade, monitor, troubleshoot, repair and optimize computer systems hardware and software. You will also ensure the overall effectiveness of components, and evaluate, recommend, and implement cost effective improvements that will increase utility, functionality, and/or effectiveness of said components.
Your contributions will directly impact our EMEA business units and functions, as you work on developing and refining new and existing infrastructure.
What would be your responsibilities?
- Installation, troubleshooting, operation, adjustment, support, monitoring and testing of x86/x64 servers (MS Windows) and our VMware® and Azure Cloud based virtualized environment
- General system monitoring and monitoring of system performance (i.e. with Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager)
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues
- Ensuring of availability and performance of all systems the team is responsible for
- Supporting different areas of IT Infrastructure across departmental borders
- Working closely on group wide IT initiatives
- Autonomous creation of concepts and documentations and setup of these
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, an equivalent education or a long-standing experience in IT Infrastructure operation
- Strong hard- & software troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in MS operating systems, Server 2019/2022/2025
- Strong skills in server virtualization – especially in VMware® and Azure Cloud environments
- Experience of Active Directory, DHCP & DNS, SCOM, Storage Systems, LAN, SAN, TCP/IP Networking Principles, Backup and Virtualization Technologies
- Flexibility to work in a shift work environment
- Self-initiative and ability to work in a team
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent communication skills
- Good verbal and written English
