The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support for computer systems, hardware, software and related technologies. This role is responsible for logging and responding to IT support requests, performing diagnostic tests, troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions. The specialist supports multiple locations while ensuring adherence to organizational and industry security standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Respond to support requests in person, by phone and through the ticketing system
- Guide users through troubleshooting and problem-solving processes
- Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software
- Deploy and support computer peripherals and accessories
- Ensure proper security hardening of network devices using industry-standard benchmarks
- Troubleshoot network performance, bandwidth, connectivity and access issues
- Assist with mobile device management and support
- Promote strong information security practices and ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, HIPAA, PII and NFL ISRI requirements
- Provide support at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, Lumen Field and other remote locations as needed and be available for after-hours support on occasion
- Be available for occasional six-day work weeks and intermittent after-hours support
- Manage hardware purchasing and provisioning
- Troubleshoot and support printers, including hardware and management software
- Support conference room A/V equipment, systems and associated licensing

- Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field and/or 1–3 years of professional IT experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
- Strong organizational skills, including thorough documentation and record-keeping
- Effective analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administrative tools such as Intune, Azure AD/identity, Exchange and SharePoint
- Basic understanding of PowerShell and/or other scripting languages
- Experience with hybrid environments, including on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD
- The salary range for this position is: $80,170 – $85,000. The salary range applies to the current posting. The posted salary range may vary based on key factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related knowledge, experience and skill set.

Skills Required
