Who You Are


People are what make Ontic a great place to work. We are looking for a hungry and mission-driven IT Specialist who has an interest in Information Security. Someone who will work closely with all key stakeholders, and play an important role as we continue to grow. Our team is passionate about security, and we are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about all aspects of IT and Information Security. This role reports to our Senior Director of Information Security & IT and requires working from Ontic’s HQ in Austin TX 5 days a week, 8:30-5:00 CST

Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee onboarding and off-boarding
  • Provide IT support to company staff and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Procure, setup and manage Mac and Windows laptops and other mobile devices.
  • Install endpoint security solutions (MDM, AV, File System Encryption, DLP).
  • Manage office audio-visual and video conferencing equipment
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to corporate policies.
  • Create documentation for troubleshooting and IT self-service.
  • Providing evidence to internal and third party auditors for audits and assessments
  • Stay current on emerging industry and technology trends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in an IT / Information security setting, or industry certifications.
  • 1-3 years experience administering macOS (Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia).
  • Extensive experience with Jamf Pro and Google Workspace
  • Experience with video conferencing tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams 
  • Comfortable setting up and maintaining audio-visual equipment.
  • Some experience with scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python)
  • Self-starter who aggressively looks for opportunities to improve processes and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels across the organization
  • Extremely organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple, time-sensitive projects 
  • Excitement and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
