Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
- Address issues around on-prem (Hypervisor, Storage and networks) and Cloud (AWS & Azure) infrastructure.
- Provide support to Tier 3 teams to address on-site DC issues.
- Receiving and documenting requests for support.
- Updating computer operating systems and other important software, as needed.
- Substantiating requests for hardware and software purchases and upgrades, if appropriate.
- Providing suggestions on appropriate training for staff.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a computer-centered discipline. Pertinent bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a desktop support technician or equivalent.
- Clear understanding of troubleshooting principles for Laptops, OS, Desktop applications.
- Basic understanding of VMWare, Storage, Network devices, AWS/Azure would be strongly preferred.
