What does the IT Team do?
The Silicon Labs IT team is a tight group of global IT professionals, many of them generalists, with a broad understanding of transformational technology initiatives and a passion for innovation and providing business value through technology. We care about the business we support and take pride in the technology services we deliver and go the extra mile to “Do the Right Thing” for Silicon Labs.
What are the primary responsibilities?
Our IT Service Delivery Team works across a range of areas and various sites. Some of your responsibilities may include:
Provide technical support for submitted tickets and walk-up requests.
Assist team members with various IT related tasks and collaborate with other teams to assist their needs
Contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes and documentation.
We can offer interesting internship jobs for students who still have some exams/semesters remaining of their studies. From day one you will be trusted with significant and exciting tasks, and work on real and important projects in a great work atmosphere.
The internship will begin in January and involve a 20-25 hour work week with flexible hours.
What are the required skills or experience?
Pursuing degree in Information Systems or a related field.
Excellent people skills with problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and listening).
Critical thinking skills for handling walk-up requests.
We consider the following experience as a plus
Background in Information Systems.
Experience with technical support or help desk environments.
Familiarity with support ticketing systems.
Knowledge of various IT systems and software
