This role will provide hands-on experience in supporting daily IT activities, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with system monitoring. The trainee will learn practical IT skills while helping ensure smooth operations across Keywords.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Support the IT team in setting up computers, accounts, and applications for users.
- Help maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation.
- Participate in monitoring system performance and reporting issues.
- Provide basic technical support to employees as needed.
- Learn and apply IT best practices in daily tasks.
- Assist in performing routine maintenance such as updates, patches, and backups.
- Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, or process improvements.
- Document solutions for common technical problems for knowledge sharing.
- Observe and shadow IT staff to gain exposure to real-world IT operations.
- Participate in meetings or training sessions as required.
Requirements
- Currently a student taking up Information Technology, Computer Science, or related courses.
- Must be enrolled in practicum/internship units.
- Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, and networking.
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to commit to the required internship hours.
