The Role

The End User Computing group provide and support a technology platform for the humans at the company to use. We are a team of 7 people globally. The scope of our responsibilities is maintaining the windows infrastructure (including application deployment, monitoring, and build and configuration management systems), end user computing environment (we support both windows and Linux workstations for all staff members), audio-visual and other building systems and a wide range of enterprise applications (including e-mail, and business-specific third-party productivity tools). We exhibit special expertise in automation (predominantly in PowerShell, but occasionally also in other languages like python, Go).

Our Kajaani office is part of our Datacentre operations in Finland, and you will be responsible for all EUCE equipment in the office and will be working with a close-knit team across all business areas with specific focus on our Finland users. The role will be physically based in our Kajaani datacentre.

Example Tasks:

• Administrating Active directory / Entra ID.
• Adding, changing, and deleting user accounts.
• AV installation / support.
• Telephone support (though we get few calls).
• Assisting with projects such as Windows OS upgrades.
• Supporting and packaging a range of vendor software (e.g. Intune).
• Debugging remote access VPN tunnels.
• Physically deploying new hardware in the office.

This role is based in our Kajaani site, and we expect you to work at least 4 days a week onsite and 1 from home.
Responsibilities

• Support staff in their use of computer systems.
• Responsible for the daily operation of the JIRA support request system
• Daily maintenance and monitoring of various systems (which include but are not limited to: Active directory; Office365 Mail infrastructure; Video conferencing solutions; telephony).
• Responsible for on/off boarding of staff.
• Diagnosis and resolution of operational issues involving windows desktops; windows servers; Linux workstations; remote access and relevant applications.
• Provision of technical assistance and coordination for the office Mechanical and Electrical systems (such as the physical security access system, UPS, gas extinguishant system) – direct operation of these systems is not a requirement, but the ability to manage the vendors who support these systems is.
• Managing technology hardware inventories, procuring additional equipment and licenses as required to refresh and augment the technology in the office.

Essential Attributes

Technical:

• Experience in administrator level access to windows systems (Active directory; Office 365; Entra ID; Windows 10/11; Windows Server).
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Working knowledge of Entra ID suite of products: Enterprise Apps; Identity; Intune application and OS deployment.
• Familiarity with the LINUX command line.
• Familiarity with Python, Go.
• Familiarity with basic Cisco networking (Office switches; Meraki Wifi).
• Familiarity with supporting MS Teams based telephone and AV installations.
• Experience of the following is beneficial:
  • Android /Apple mobile phone provisioning / app deployment. (MAM; MDM)
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Laptop, pc and server hardware troubleshooting.

Non-technical:

• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Finnish.
• You will be a reliable and proactive individual, able to work both independently and as part of a global team.
• You will enjoy working with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Articulate, numerate, and capable of negotiating high-value technology equipment and services agreements.
