Job Description:

Job Title: IT Support Engineer (m/f/d)

Location: Viernheim, Germany

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a single point of contact for IT-related issues and requests.
  • Provide support for LIS (Laboratory Information System).
  • Cover first line IT support services including incident and request management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems.
  • Escalate complex issues to the IT Operations Team and related platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records of all incidents and requests using the IT service management system.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software.
  • Provide user training and support to ensure efficient use of IT systems.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure a high level of service delivery.
  • Monitor IT systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in IT projects as required.
  • Local engagement on IT relevant requests

Experience & Skillset required:

  • Experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Certifications in ITIL.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices
  • Experience with supporting a Laboratory or healthcare environment would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in German and English; French is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience with IT support and incident management.
  • Knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
  • Familiarity with common IT systems and software (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, networking fundamentals).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Travel to Antech sites for onsite support activities
