Named first of “7 Technologies That Could Change Heart Healthcare Forevermore” by the Robb Report, the CaRi-Heart® technology is Caristo’s flagship offering which uncovers hidden coronary inflammation, a key driver of cardiovascular disease, on routine Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA).

About the Role

Overview

This is an entry-level role based at our Stamford, Connecticut office, supporting approximately 60 colleagues across multiple business functions in both Stamford, CT and Oxford, UK. Working closely with the Senior IT Support Engineer, you will provide day-to-day technical support, help maintain Caristo’s hardware and software environments, and contribute to process improvements and clear, reliable IT procedures as the company continues to grow.

Job Title:     IT Support Engineer
Department:    Operations; Reporting to Head of Data Operations & IT
Location:    Stamford, Connecticut
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
•    Service Desk Support – Provide responsive first-line IT support to staff across the Stamford and Oxford offices, logging, prioritizing, troubleshooting and resolving incidents and service requests in a professional and customer-focused manner.
•    End-User Device Support – Support the set-up, deployment and maintenance of laptops, desktops, peripherals and mobile devices across Windows, macOS and Linux environments.
•    Software and Account Administration – Assist with installing, configuring and supporting business applications, user accounts, access permissions and productivity tools, escalating where appropriate.
•    Infrastructure Monitoring and Support – Help monitor and maintain cloud, virtualized and remote working environments, including Windows 365 and related endpoint, network and server services.
•    Documentation and Process Improvement – Maintain accurate IT documentation, contribute to standard operating procedures and identify opportunities to improve support processes, service quality and operational resilience.
Operational Continuity – Work with the Senior IT Support Engineer and wider operations team to minimize disruption,  support onboarding and offboarding activity, and ensure IT services meet the needs of a growing global business.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential
•    Relevant qualification, certification or equivalent practical experience in IT support, computer science or a related technical discipline.
•    Genuine interest in developing a career in IT support within a fast-paced healthcare technology environment.
•    Sound working knowledge of desktop operating systems, including Windows and macOS; familiarity with Linux is advantageous.
•    Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, connectivity, account access and peripheral issues.
•    Basic understanding of networking concepts, endpoint management, cloud services and information security good practice.
•    Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
Desirable
•    Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 365, Azure or other cloud-based productivity and device management platforms.
•    Familiarity with IT service desk tools, ticket management processes and ITIL-style incident or request handling.
•    Exposure to onboarding and offboarding processes, access management, asset tracking and maintaining IT documentation.
•    Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, patching and secure handling of business data.
•    Previous experience supporting users in a start-up, healthcare, regulated or multi-site environment.
