Function Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced IT Strategy, Portfolio, and Change Management Leader to join our Digital IT team.  Reporting directly to the most senior IT leader at FMC, our Chief Digital Officer (CDO), this role will be instrumental in driving the execution of FMC’s Digital IT strategy, managing key initiatives, and ensuring operational efficiency within the IT organization. This leader will act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), providing insights, managing communications, and coordinating cross-functional activities.  They will also regularly interact with other FMC senior leaders to ensure strategic alignment to overall business priorities. 

In addition, the successful candidate will manage our IT Portfolio and Program Management processes.  They will provide visibility to investments, workloads and trade-offs to drive efficiency in decision-making. They will be responsible for establishing and maintaining program management standards, methodologies, and governance processes. 

The candidate will also play a crucial role in change management, developing and implementing strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and maximize user adoption of new technologies. They will ensure that change initiatives are effectively communicated and supported throughout the organization, fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support CDO in the development, execution and communication of the Digital IT strategy.
  • Establish and embed IT program management standards, methodologies, and governance processes to drive operational efficiency and faster decision-making.
  • Oversee the portfolio of IT demand and investments and provide visibility to leadership on strategic investment decisions or trade-offs.
  • Report on the progress of IT projects and initiatives, providing regular updates to the CDO and Digital IT leadership team.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and maximize user adoption of new technologies.

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in information technology, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in IT strategy, portfolio management, and change management or previously help IT Chief of staff or similar role within an IT Organization.
  • Excellent executive communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and planning across all aspects of Digital and Information technology.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including ability to see across multiple initiatives to identify interdependencies and manage risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT project management processes and best practices.
  • Understanding of change management frameworks and using them to deliver a major change initiative.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI), Six Sigma or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification
  • Experience in a multi-national corporation with a diverse and distributed workforce.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies.
  • Knowledge or experience in Agriculture Chemicals industry is a plus.
