The Impact you will have in this role:
This role is responsible for supporting the execution and contributing to the development of the company's IT Sourcing strategy (including hardware, software, telecom/networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services). This role independently leads sourcing initiatives across IT categories and partners closely with IT stakeholders to drive value, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with DTCC's financial and operational objectives. The Associate Director will collaborate across the organization with Finance, Legal, Third-Party Risk, Procurement Operations, and IT stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives and support the delivery of strategic sourcing outcomes. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly ramp into active sourcing initiatives and manage multiple in-flight workstreams.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with IT stakeholders to support the development and execution of sourcing strategies aligned to business needs and control objectives.
- Independently lead sourcing initiatives across IT categories, including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial analysis, and contract negotiations.
- Serve as a hands-on sourcing professional, responsible for developing RFx materials, conducting commercial and contractual analysis, and driving sourcing outcomes end-to-end.
- Manage supplier relationships to support effective performance, value delivery, and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the execution of sourcing processes, including contracting and downstream procurement activities, ensuring alignment with policies and procedures.
- Proactively manage renewals and sourcing pipelines to drive savings and minimize business disruption.
- Support and, where appropriate, lead vendor QBRs and performance discussions for key suppliers.
- Analyze spend and contract data to identify savings opportunities and support sourcing decision-making.
- Execute sourcing initiatives with clear financial, operational, and risk-based objectives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing timelines, requirements, and deliverables are effectively managed.
- Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and contractual terms.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of sourcing processes, tools, and reporting.
- Partner with IT Strategic Sourcing Directors to align on category strategy, sourcing priorities, and performance targets.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

- 8 – 10+ years of IT Strategic Sourcing or procurement experience in a global organization, preferably within financial services.
- Strong experience executing RFx processes and independently managing sourcing initiatives and negotiations across IT categories (hardware, software, telecom/networking, cloud, and professional services).
- Proven ability to operate as a hands-on sourcing professional, including developing RFx materials, performing commercial analysis, and executing contract negotiations.
- Solid understanding of enterprise IT vendors and sourcing dynamics across multiple technology categories.
- Ability to quickly ramp into active sourcing workstreams and deliver value with limited onboarding.
