- Performs, with direction, standard technology engineering activities that develop professional skills/knowledge and provide familiarization with technology engineering staff, methods, practices, and projects
- Maintains a subset of the infrastructure to assure operational availability; documents maintenance activities; gathers data and monitors capacity and performance; and performs basic, routine backup activities to maintain continuity
- Provides Tier 3 support for their area(s) of the infrastructure Troubleshoots non-complex hardware and software problems by analyzing a chain of events and applying technical knowledge following established procedures and standards
- Attends and observes experienced colleagues in client meetings and vendor interactions; applies learned knowledge and skills when interacting with clients in order to gather information and elicit details of their needs; works to resolve client needs that are relevant to assigned infrastructure subset
- Builds, within parameters or a predetermined process, an assigned subset of the infrastructure to meet requested needs; performs testing and installation of new subsets Investigates and explores, under the direction and guidance of senior colleagues, new products and technologies, relevant to assigned infrastructure subset to enhance technology engineering service value
- 2 to 4 years of relevant functional experience in engineer role or equivalent
- Basic understanding of the principles of IT infrastructure support, and working knowledge in one or two technology areas
Job Qualification
- Minimum Diploma (3) / Bachelor (S1) in Information Technologies, Computer Science , Information Systems, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 Year Experience in IT Support , IT Helpdesk or Technical Support
- Experience in Oil and Gas, Mining, Industrial , or Engineering environment is high preferred.
- Experience working in remote/site location, drilling rigs, or industrial sites in an advantage .
- Good command of English , both written and verbal , is an advantage.
Technical Skill.
- Good Knowledge of Windows OS , Microsoft Office/Office 365, Hardware , software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DHCP, DNS,VLAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic Network Troubleshooting .
- Familiar with configuration and troubleshooting of Switches, router , firewall and wireless access.
- Experience supporting server, Network Equipment , Printer, and other IT Peripherals .
- Familiar with CCTV System, NVR/DVR, IP cameras, and basic surveillance network troubleshooting .
- Understanding of structure cabling, Fiber Optic, Ethernet, and Network Infrastructure is an advantage.
- Able to perform IT Equipment installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, and asset management.
- Able to prepare and maintenance IT documentations, network diagram, equipment inventory, configuration record, and troubleshooting reports.
- Ability to coordinate with Operation , Vendor, and third-party service providers.
- AutoCAD knowledge or experience is an added advantage .
