Redwood Credit Union is seeking an IT Specialist I which is an entry-level technical position that ensures the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of computing systems within the organization. Provide first-tier support for desktop applications and equipment, telephones, and end-user rights management within a team environment. Provide superior customer service that meets the RCU service standards and values to team members of Redwood Credit Union.
Key Responsibilities
Computer Operations:
o Follow department operations run books for daily operational functions and desktop environment.
o Maintain service log of information systems error logs and maintenance calls.
o Review and maintain systems focused on desktop performance and security, such as Anti-Virus, Patching, and Inventory.
o Document all calls and requests in the IT support ticketing system.
o Operate daily and monthly operations checklists to maintain the security and completion of tasks through auditing.
o Complete add, move and/or user change requests in the network and core systems.
o Provide help-desk phone support to team members of the Redwood Group.
o Distribute reports to management.
o Execute all daily operational checklists in a timely manner to ensure duties are performed with the highest accuracy and attention to detail.
o Notify management of work affecting incidents in a timely manner.
o Document all new processes and any undocumented process in department Wiki.
Technical Support:
o Provide end-user support and troubleshooting of computer and printer problems.
o Respond to incidents and support requests per incident management procedures.
o Provide help-desk support on computer systems through assisting the end-user with software/hardware problems and inquiries.
o Provide exceptional service to all Members, volunteers, internal team members, and service providers.
o Keep inventory of supplies and licensing, document and provide management with requests for new purchases.
o Contact vendors to schedule repair and maintenance work on system hardware and order additional hardware, parts, and supplies.
o Support tablet and mobile devices through RCU’s mobile device management solution.
o Uphold established department service standards.
User Creation & Security:
o Create, delete, and modify all existing and new users daily for Symitar and Windows.
o Maintain log of user ID’s including deletions, additions and changes.
o Setup and maintain user security for the Redwood Group.
o Support computer patch distribution and software updates.
Other Functions:
o Organize data room and surrounding areas and ensure OSHA standards.
o Maintain technical proficiencies to support current and planned hardware and software computing needs.

Minimum Qualification: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate skill in the operation of a PC with Intranet and Internet and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and information systems software.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer related problems.
- Ability to interact and communicate with outside vendors.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to employ problem solving techniques while being detailed oriented.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to work on a rotating schedule which will include working on Saturdays as assigned.
- Ability to travel 30% of the time.
The ideal candidate has a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate degree with a preferred minimum of one year experience with computing in an enterprise environment. Credit Union experience or experience in a closely related field a plus.
Compensation: Base starting range: $29.00 to $39.00 hourly commensurate with experience.
Our base salary starting range is based on scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, and internal peer equity. Physical Requirements:
• Ability to travel to offsite branch and corporate locations as needed.
