Position Overview

As a Solution Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient solutions for our organization. You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders, development teams, and business analysts to understand requirements, evaluate existing systems, and propose innovative solutions. Your expertise will bridge the gap between business needs and technical feasibility, ensuring successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Project Management Office and Portfolio Management Team in documenting high level technical solution options, estimates and presenting to organization leaders and/or project stakeholders on proposed initiatives
  • Ensures that proposed technical solutions align with organization goals, and the development resources are efficiently used
  • Serve as Technical Lead on approved initiatives leading a cross functional team that may consist of Business Analysts, Software Developers, Integration Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts, overseeing the technical end-to-end solution, and ensure project timelines are hit.
  • Work with and maintain good relationships with other organizations throughout the company
  • Partner with Technical Leadership on the creation, maintenance, and governance of standards and best practices of Technical Teams
  • Provides advanced technical expertise, oversight, root cause analysis, and accountability for resolution of outages, service level issues and other events in partnership with support teams
  • Communicate technical project status to various levels of management
  • Partner with Solution Architects, and Software Developers to ensure proposed solutions align with information technology, infrastructure, business, and security architectures
  • Closely partner with information security in ensuring all applicable security and compliance standards and requirements are incorporated into Designand Architecture
  • Be capable of being hands-on in a technical capacity as needed. This role is not primarily a software development role, but familiarity with the technologies in our tech stack is essential for success in this role
  • Continuously evaluate, enforce, and improve software development and other technical processes
  • Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure organizational success
  • This position will be part of a rotation for Release Management and On Call Support
  • Must have passion for all things tech and have a drive to experiment with new technologies to see where they can benefit the business
  • Travel requirement of 10% depending on technical implementations
  • All other projects and duties as required or assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields.
  • 5+ years of IT professional experience showing progressive growth and responsibilities.
  • Hands-on experience in software development with proficiency in one or more programming languages.

      • EDI
      • Business process automation and orchestration tools and software
    • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile/scrum methodologies.
    • Strong understanding of modern DevOps practices.
    • Experience in Retail or other Fast-Paced Industriesis a strong nice to have
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning, Product Information Management and Warehouse Management Systems desired
