In order to support our diverse team, Airbus Aerostructures (ASA) is looking for an IT Solution Architect for Identity and Access Management (d/f/m).

You will join our international and dedicated team to provide Digital Workplace (DW) solutions to around 19.000 customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • You will lead the strategic transition towards Non-Windows Operating Systems (ChromeOS) to reduce legacy dependencies and modernize the Airbus Aerostructures (ASA) workplace environment.

  • You will drive the consolidation and simplification of the Digital Workplace application portfolio, mitigating the risks associated with the MS Office decommissioning and the transition to Google Workspace.

  • You will manage the comprehensive Obsolescence Management lifecycle for legacy hardware and software systems, ensuring operational stability during the transition phase.

  • You will support the Lead Architect in evaluating and implementing complex IT demands from internal customers, translating them into scalable, secure, and compliant architecture designs.

  • You will collaborate closely with Airbus Commercial IT Infrastructure to ensure seamless group integration while safeguarding ASA's local operational sovereignty and control.

  • You will actively identify and mitigate risks of "shadow IT" by designing user-centric, unified digital workplace solutions.

  • You will align the workplace architecture strategy with the organization's business objectives and the overarching strategy.

Desired skills and qualifications
  • You hold a degree in (business) informatics, computer science, or bring a comparable qualification and have proven experience as an IT/Workplace Architect or in a similar strategic role.

  • You bring strong knowledge and hands-on experience with modern OS ecosystems (specifically ChromeOS and Linux deployments) and cloud-based productivity suites (Google Workspace).

  • You have a proven track record in IT simplification, application portfolio consolidation, and obsolescence management within complex, large-scale corporate environments.

  • You bring excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to effectively mediate between technical teams, internal business units, and global Airbus IT functions.

  • You possess a strong understanding of the intersection between Digital Workplace and Identity Access Management (IAM) to ensure secure access and lifecycle management.

  • You are fluent in Romanian and English. German is highly desirable.
