The intern will work together with other engineers on various projects and tasks. Along the way, the IT Software Engineering Intern will have exposure to all parts of the software development lifecycle such as gathering requirements, development, quality assurance testing, and deployment. In the process, the intern will have the opportunity to understand real-world problems, work within typical business processes, and see the solutions come to fruition.

  • Supports small to medium deployments, configurations, and expansions of systems through analysis and customization.
  • Ensures applications integrate with the existing infrastructure of the company.
  • Works as part of a team to implement solutions that expand our use of technology across the organization in accordance with business objectives.
  • Assists with technical quality review and testing at various points throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Translates use cases and requirements effectively into user stories with support from other members of the team.
  • Serves as a point of contact for development-related issues, concerns, and needs

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing an Associates degree or above, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Familiarity with .NET/C# or HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with XML/JSON/web services.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle from problem definition, requirements definition, design, development, testing, and implementation; including agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with development and programming of SQL relational databases (SQL queries and stored procedures), preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills as well as be a team player.
