About the Role 

We are seeking a part-time IT Services Specialist to support our growing workforce locally in Kirkland, WA and remotely across the globe. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands-on technical support, strong customer service, and contributing to scalable, secure IT operations in a fast-growing environment. 

This position will work 20–25 hours per week and will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure our employees have reliable, secure, and efficient technology. The candidate must be located in the Greater Seattle Metro and available to work in person at Teal’s offices in Kirkland, WA up to 20 hours per week.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide hands-on and remote technical support to internal employees, serving as a first point of contact for IT issues and service requests. 

  • Support day-to-day IT operations including laptops, mobile devices, printers, conference room technology, network-connected equipment, and building access systems. 

  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls across company systems, including employee onboarding and offboarding. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments. 

  • Identify, escalate, and assist in responding to phishing attempts, malware, and other security-related incidents in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of IT incidents, service requests, asset inventory, and resolutions. 

  • Contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of IT policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident response, and escalation processes. 

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, including researching, testing, and recommending tools or process enhancements that improve employee experience and security posture. 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 

  • Working knowledge of Windows and MacOS operating systems. 

  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, including Teams and SharePoint. 

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and communicate solutions clearly. 

  • Customer-service mindset with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users. 

  • Basic understanding of IT security best practices, access controls, and device management. 

  • Ability to document processes and follow established procedures consistently. 

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and coordinate support activities with minimal disruption to business operations. 

Compensation 

This is a part-time 1099 role. The targeted pay range is $32.00/hr- 37.00/hr based on experience.
