IT Project Manager

Your Role:
As a Senior Project Manager at Citco, you will be responsible for managing complex IT projects in a fast-paced financial institution environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring successful delivery of project deliverables within the constraints of schedule, scope, and budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including development, QA, infrastructure, and business units.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain core project artifacts – project plans, status reports, risk & issue logs, and software deliverables in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
Lead Agile ceremonies – daily stand ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to keep the team focused and self directed.
Communicate proactively – deliver concise, timely updates, risk alerts, and decision making inputs to all stakeholders, from senior management to team members.
Own the project outcome – operate with minimal supervision, taking full responsibility for meeting milestones, budgets, and quality standards, and escalating issues promptly.
Drive first time success – take initiative to deliver high quality work on the first attempt, avoiding reliance on repeated feedback or corrections.
Build a high performance team culture – foster collaboration, accountability, and resilience, while maintaining professional conduct and alignment with Citco values.
Manage external partners – liaise with vendors to secure optimal delivery structures and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Prioritize and mitigate risks – identify, assess, and address risks and issues early, and allocate resources efficiently across departments.
Track and report metrics – administer performance metrics to monitor progress and inform continuous improvement.
About You:
Minimum 5 years of solid practical experience managing complex projects.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Agile application development in a financial institution environment.
Proficiency in project management tools, specifically JIRA / Confluence & MS Project.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent written and oral English.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in project management, information technology, creativity, business analysis, data analytics, problem-solving, change/release management, multi-tasking, and service management.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Effective planning and organizational skills to set priorities and coordinate projects to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or related field.
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are preferred
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing complex IT projects.
Strong background in Agile application development within financial institutions.
Demonstrated experience with project management tools and methodologies.
Skills:
Proven track record managing complex, concurrent IT projects with minimal supervision
Advanced proficiency in Agile methodologies, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and project analytics tools
Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions through clear, concise communication
Excellence in proactive risk management and independent problem-solving in fast-paced environments
Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical concepts across diverse audiences
