Job Summary:

  • Influences a cross-functional team in optimization of application capabilities & business processes.
  • Provide Business Analysis and Project/Product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs).
  • Utilize industry trends to influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities.
  • Identify the business needs of the users, outline potential solutions, and translate business requirements to an appropriate format for requirements including user stories/acceptance criteria, process flows, data mapping (source to target mappings), functional and non-functional requirements to convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
  • Responsible for maintaining requirements documentation in standard formats and repositories ensuring traceability between scope, feature, functional requirements
  • Collaborates with users, vendor, and development team members to deliver the best technical solution which meets the business requirements​.
  • Liaison to obtain clarification for development and testing teams on intended functionality / user stories.
  • Significantly contributes to the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience.
  • Capture requirements for a highly complex system and/or multiple systems across multiple stakeholders; understands and applies the SDLC to the execution of deliverables.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements considering multiple users, risks, and/or impact scenarios and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team.
  • Apply expertise of the business and its trajectory and work with technical and business teams to support business objectives and align to the roadmap.
  • Work with QAS to develop project testing strategy. 
  • Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience.
  • Advises on security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed. 
  • Partners effectively with security and risk teams to ensure tech portfolio changes adhere to standards.
  • Active participation in Agile squad ceremonies, utilize Agile principles, and tools (Confluence, JIRA).
  • Actively contributes to BA Center of Excellence efforts in evolving requirements analysis and management practices

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience working as a Business System Analyst or related IT roles
  • Experience with CRM platforms, e.g. Siebel
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must be able to familiarize with and be hands on with the software application platform(s) supported by the squad
  • Must be able to familiarize and understand technical implementation of the software application platform(s) and bridge the gap between business and technology
  • Ability to work in a group/team setting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Takes accountability/responsibility for tasks and actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and team player with positive attitude
  • Familiar with Agile, Scaled Agile Framework and Waterfall concepts
  • Experience working in agile squads
  • MS Suite proficiency Word, Excel, PPT
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Business Analysis deliverable in the form of use cases, process flows, data mapping documentation
  • Ability to break down complex concepts into simple and digestible requirements
  • Execute Design thinking, Systems thinking when developing requirements artifacts
  • Must be driven to deliver quality and have attention to detail
  • Familiarity with webservices, APIs, relational databases, batch and real time (REST, Kafka or other) technology

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in IT / Computer Science
  • Experience with Banking domain applications
  • Background in gathering and documenting UI design requirements
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $100,000 to $112,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
