As the IT Security Analyst, you will help safeguard the organization’s digital assets by monitoring and maintaining security systems, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, and supporting efficient and effective responses to security incidents.

What you will be doing

You will play a vital role in safeguarding Stolt-Nielsen’s digital assets by continuously monitoring security alerts and logs, maintaining and improving security controls, and supporting incident response activities to contain and remediate identified threats. Working closely with security and IT teams, you will help manage vulnerabilities, user access, privileged accounts, and endpoint protections, while also contributing to security awareness efforts and the implementation of security policies and procedures across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts and logs to identify potential threats.
• Contribute to incident response and support investigations of malware, exploits, and other security events.
• Escalate issues to senior engineers when necessary.
• Help track and manage remediation efforts in collaboration with IT teams following security assessments and audits.
• Maintain patch management records and support updates.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Manage user access controls, permissions, and password policies.
• Support firewall, antivirus, and endpoint protection configuration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP, CEH, CCNA) preferred.
• 1–2 years’ practical experience in cybersecurity or related field (internships/entry-level roles acceptable), with exposure to labs, bootcamps, or penetration testing.
• Proficiency in Windows OS security, secure software practices, authentication, access controls, cryptography, and cybersecurity principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability).
• Strong knowledge of network security, including protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), firewalls, traffic analysis, and use of tools such as WAF, IDS/IPS, EDR, AV, SIEM, and PAM.
• Experience in incident response, forensics, vulnerability management, and preferred exposure to penetration testing/ethical hacking tools.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to collaborate across IT teams, manage priorities, and stay current with cybersecurity trends.
