Join one of our innovative squads at Sopra Steria as a IT Resilience & Development Intern, where you'll contribute to both the governance of IT resilience and the development of a cutting-edge internal tool.

- Unix and VMware patching automation
- Internal web portals and data applications

- CI/CD pipelines and orchestration tools

Your Responsibilities
Disaster Recovery Exercises
- Assist in defining and planning DR exercises.
- Conduct exercises and draft DRE reports and monitor action plans.
- Ensure IT DR strategies comply with industry regulations and best practices (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, GDPR).
- Work closely with IT infrastructure, security, and business teams to enhance DR measures.
Business Impact Analysis
- Conduct BIA workshops.
- Enhance template
- Challenge and verify content of the BIA
- Implement the content into the internal database
Internal Application Development — DART
DART is an internal web application built to support the BCDR team in managing service dependencies, tracking compliance, and simulating incidents. The tool is currently in active deployment. You will take over and continue its development and operational consolidation.
- Continue feature development on an existing application.
- Extend the data model and build new views and metrics.
- Participate in discussions around infrastructure resilience and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on operational topics.
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
BCDR
- Understanding of DR / Crisis Management concepts
- Knowledge of BIA methodology
- Understanding of operational risks
- Ability to read and interpret a risk assessment
- Basic knowledge of incident vs. crisis escalation
- Basic cybersecurity fundamentals
Development
- Comfortable with Python development
- Familiarity with graph databases or willingness to learn (Neo4j)
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Docker/containers, cloud storage
- Interest or experience in cybersecurity concepts: authentication, secrets management, access control
- Autonomous, able to read and build on existing code
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive and eager to learn, with a structured and self-organized approach
- Comfortable seeking information and collaborating across teams
Education
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field
Languages
- Fluency in English & French (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus
Nice to Have
- Experience with Streamlit or similar data application frameworks
- Exposure to GitLab CI/CD
- Knowledge of OIDC authentication flows
- Familiarity with backup and recovery concepts

The internship will take place in Leudelange (our premises) and/or Cloche d'Or (client's location), at the heart of technological innovation in Luxembourg.
