IT Quality Automation Tester

The IT Quality Tester is an entry-level professional role. This role supports the quality assurance team by working on clearly defined tasks with direct supervision. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and apply foundational knowledge of quality assurance and automation testing. They will follow established industry standards and practices to assist the team in meeting its objectives. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to follow systematic processes. Good communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members and reporting on progress. The quality and timeliness of work will directly contribute to the effectiveness of the immediate team.

Responsibilities:

• Support for UAT and Production Rollout: Assists in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and helps ensure a smooth product release into production under the guidance of senior team members.

• Test Automation Development: Assists in designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to improve quality and reduce manual testing efforts.

• AI-Enabled Testing: Learns and utilizes AI-powered testing tools to enhance test creation, execution, and defect detection.

• Quality Monitoring: Participates in process monitoring and product evaluations to identify issues and report findings.

• Standards and Documentation: Follows established SDLC standards and procedures, and helps maintain clear documentation and traceability for testing activities.

• Issue Management: Documents test findings, assists in root cause analysis using test data, and tracks corrective actions to completion.

• Quality Metrics and Reporting: Assists in generating quality metrics reports and provides data to support risk assessment and governance processes.

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of Quality Assurance experience, with an interest in the Financial Services industry.

• Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript)

• Ability to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests

• Interest in or familiarity with AI-powered testing tools and concepts like self-healing tests, AI-based test generation, and visual testing.

• Good understanding of QA principles and practices across the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Ability to review requirements and identify discrepancies with guidance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
